ifva X Duddell's X KEF “In/Visible Sound of the City”
Music Appreciation + Independent Short Film Screening |
Duddell's will collaborate with Hong Kong Arts Centre, ifva again in presenting a series of independent short film screenings. Theme of this year is “In/Visible Sound of the City”, with music element added to the programme for the first time. Co-presented by KEF, the film will be shown in KEF’s Extreme Home Theatre with Dolby Atmos system 7.2.4, bringing you a sensory journey of body and mind.
The first screening presents The Sea Within by Wong Wai-nap. The film originated from the story of Wong’s own family, reviewing his identity as a fisherman’s son and recording his parents’ life nowadays. Facing social changes, they struggle with reality and their livelihood diminishes. Director will pick music pieces which have had an impact on his creation for appreciation and he will be present at a post-screening sharing.

Jockey Club ifva Everywhere
Master Class and Artist Mentoring Scheme: Juan Pablo Zaramella |
Organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre and major funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the upcoming Master Class and Artist Mentoring Scheme will invite Argentinian independent director and animator Juan Pablo Zaramella to have public seminar and workshop in Hong Kong on 29-30 June.
In the public seminar, Juan Pablo will share the technique, procedure and difficulties for bringing animated characters into real-world scenes, and the use of After Effects in connection with stop motion. In the two-day workshop, he will talk about modeling plasticine, design research and techniques through practical examples, sharing experiences in how to get the best from different materials on character design. Participants will also practise modeling plasticine under his guidance.
