People Cinema, an open-air screening breaks the tradition and constraints of ordinary cinema, letting audience to discover extraordinary cinematic experiences in different outdoor areas in Hong Kong. As the original site of the Queen’s Pier, Edinburgh Place is a perfect venue for enjoying Ordinary Heroes (Best Film of the 19th Hong Kong Film Awards and Best Feature Film of the 36th Golden Horse Awards), directed by Ann Hui On-wah in 1999 to record the life and despair of Hong Kong people in the 70s and 80s, and to show her caring for the society.

“Anywhere Out of the World” Hui Wai-keung's Solo Exhibtion |
ifva and Goethe-Institut Hongkong jointly presents “Anywhere Out of the World” the first local solo exhibition of Hui Wai-keung, the Best Local Work winner of the 22nd ifva Awards Media Art Category. The five works including video projections, installations and virtual reality, are about near and far, known and unknown, reality and possibility, which explore a new interpretation of space through visual studies and retain an awareness of the potential existence of possible hyperspaces out of the world.
Opening: 7 Nov 2017 (Tuesday), 7pm

48 Hour Film Challenge — Announcement of Selected Teams |
The selected teams of 48 Hour Film Challenge have been announced. From 10 November to 12 November, the 12 selected teams will make their own short films within 48 hours. The Jury Prize and Audience Prize winners will be announced at the Premiere screening and Prize Presentation Ceremony in early December.
