22nd ifva Awards Deadline is Approaching!
Deadline for submission: 17/10/2016 (Monday) HKT 6PM



ifva Awards - Media Arts Category & Asian New Force Category
Jury Panels and Prizes

ifva serves as a platform that actively promotes and encourages creative talents in Asia and welcomes submissions from Asian countries. Finalist works will be showcased in “The 22nd ifva Festival” which will be held in March 2017. Roundtrip flight tickets will be partially subsidised and hotel accommodation will be provided for Asian finalists.

Media Art Category accepts media art works in all forms and formats, including digital art, net art, computer game, sound art, kinetic art and any other time-based installation. Gold Award winner will receive HK$50,000 Cash Prize sponsored by Pure Art Foundation, one Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera and one trophy. One Festival Visit sponsored by the Pure Art Foundation will be granted to the Best Local Work winner of Media Art Category.

Asian New Force Category accepts any type of film and animation, including fiction, documentary, experimental. Gold Award winner will receive HK$30,000 Cash Prize sponsored by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, one Blackmagic Video Assist and one trophy.

Grand awards and prizes of ifva Awards

Pure Art Foundation continue to sponsor the Cast Prizes and Oversea festival visit of Media Art Category in the 22nd ifva Awards. Gold and Silver Award winner will be awarded HK$50,000 and HK$30,000 respectively, and the Best Local Work winner may choose to attend Ars Electronica (in Austria) or Transmediale (in Germany).

ifva collaborated with Oil Street Art Space and is now showing "ifva Independent Short Film Highlights", a selection of works including the winners of the 21st ifva Awards and the student works of the "All About Us"’ Filmmaking Project, from now on to 23 October.
