Tamas Waliczky is a pioneer of computer animation. In the age when computer animation was still not popular, he had already started doing animation and “new media” art creations. He even self-learnt his computer theory, technique and even English language. Not having attended university himself, Waliczky’s first foray into campus life was as a Professor and taught in various universities.
Tamas Waliczky is going to have his first solo-exhibition in Hong Kong and act as a museum guide. There will also be screenings and seminar associated with this event. |

This is Tamas Waliczky's first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. His two new installations, Wheels (2013) and Homes (2012), will be shown as world premiere. There will be a retrospective with his earlier works from 1986 till 2007, too.

“Adventures of Tom Tomiczky” is a feature-length high-definition 3D computer animation, which shows the surreal, poetic and burlesque adventures of a 21st-century emigrant. After the screening, Tamas Waliczky will hold a lecture with video projection of production images and videos.
